The Origional Chicken Gold Camp on the Taylor Highway

Chicken Gold Camp and RV Park - The Original Chicken Gold Camp offers a relaxing retreat in the historic mining community of Chicken. Located away from the highway but within walking distance of the area’s attractions (active goldmine, gold dredge, ghost town, saloon, hiking, river recreation, etc).

The park amenities include tables and fire rings, water, dumpstation, clean restrooms and internet/email access as well as a café serving homemade entries, an espresso/smoothie bar, a gift shop with local crafts and kayak rentals. The park has a separate area for caravans and cabin rentals.

From their adjoining gold mine, the hosts provide paydirt for gold panning and create unique Alaskan gold nugget jewelry and gifts.
